Death: ... Okay, here is the deal: if you help me wipe out the human race, I'll let you envelope the world in eternal darkness.

Voice around Death: That was my plan from the start, nincompoop. I do not need permission to carry it out.

Death: Aren't you tired of the reapers attacking whenever you try to capture a place and keep it captive?

Voice around Death: The reapers are no threat.

Death: I know one reaper who has the power to stop you and your lackies.

Voice around Death: Laughable. None of the reapers know how to dispel the Gloom's curse.

Death: True, but as time passes, this reaper will learn his true potential and I assure you he will be a thorn in your side when he figures it out.

Voice around Death: This conversation is now over.
The fog vanishes.

Death growls to himself and then disappears.

The two brothers limp into the topic.

Nathaniel: H-hey! I'm back to-

Before he could finish his sentence, he falls to his hands and knees and pukes up a small amount of blood.

Nathaniel: OH GOD!!! THE PAIN!!!

Joshua: Come on Nathaniel! *Picks Nathaniel up.*

Nathaniel: I-It hurts... It really hurts... I didn't think it was this bad...

Joshua: I guess your werewolf form took more of a beating than you expected.

Joshua is half way through the forest when he notices the tower of the Reaper's Sanctuary.

Joshua: *Thinking: Are we doing the right thing heading back to the sanctuary after Nathaniel was going to be killed by Death?*

Nathaniel: What's the matter, Josh?

Joshua: Nothing...

Nathaniel: ... You're worried, aren't you?

Joshua: Well, yeah. Aren't you?

Nathaniel: Yes, but I'm also sad.

Joshua: Why?

Nathaniel: It just makes me think that dad never really loved me... or even mom...

Joshua stops walking.

Joshua: Never refer to that... thing as our father!

Nathaniel: But-

Joshua: NEVER CALL IT DAD!!!

Nathaniel looks down in disappointment.

Joshua: ... Nathaniel, I'm sorry I yelled at you-

Nathaniel: No, you're right. Lets just go.

Joshua continues down the main path of the forest.

*There's a Boo following the two.*

An out of place cloud of black fog floats past the Amnott brothers.

Joshua stops and stares at the fog.

Joshua: Black fog? How is that possible?

Nathaniel also stares at the fog.

The black fog suddenly stops and turns into what looks like Death.
"Death": What?

Joshua sets Nathaniel down and gets into a fighting stance. Nathaniel forms his scythe and uses it as a prop.

Joshua: Come to face us yourself!? You're still not going to get my brother!

"Death" sighs.
"Death": Listen, kids. I really don't have time to waste talking to you.

Joshua and Nathaniel stare at "Death" in confusion.

Nathaniel: Wait... I thought you wanted to sacrifice me in the Tower of Babel?

Joshua: It might be a trick...

"Death": Tower of... Listen, I really have no idea what you are talking about.

Joshua: Stop trying to !@#$ with our heads with your stupid mind tricks!

Nathaniel: Hold on Josh... *To "Death".* Are you even... Death?

"Death": No.
"Death" turns into Elsa Shnieder from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.
"Elsa": I'm pretty sure Death can't do this.

Joshua: Whoa... then who, or what, are you?

"Elsa": My name is Vala. I am a Nightmare.

Nathaniel: A Nightmare? As in give people bad dreams kind of Nightmare?

Vala: Wrong type of Nightmare. We're called Nightmares because we shapeshift into the worst fears of people we have to guard.
