In my stories I always like to play turn based battles mainly because we can use a HP, attack, and defense limit.
Here's how I play:
Lv.: Obviously to show how difficult the enemy might be.
HP: To show how healthy your enemy is and how long it might take before you kill it.
MP: To show how much magic they can currently use.
ATK: Shows how strong the enemy might be.
DEF: Show how much damage they can deflect from attacks.
STR: Shows how much more Attack they can use if the enemys' luck kicks in.
CON: Shows how much more Magic they can use if the enemys' luck kicks in and how strong the magic attack might be.
INT: Shows the limit of how much magic they can store and use.
SPD: Shows how fast the enemy is and determines turn order. Fastest obviously going first.
LCK: Shows how lucky the enemy can be like increasing attack, increasing magic or simply to dodge an attack or spell.
Status: Shows the condition the enemy is in. Conditions include, but are not limited to:
Good: Normal status.
Poison: Slowly takes away HP.
Curse: Slowly takes away MP or doesn't allow the user to use magic at all.
THIS IS AN OPTIONAL BATTLE METHOD. I CAN GIVE THE CHOICE TO PLAY THIS WAY, BUT YOU DON'T HAVE TO IF YOU DON'T WANT TO. IF YOU DON'T WANT TO, THEN I WON'T FORCE IT ON YOU.
I'm going to repost some of my characters this way if that's okay.
