General Toad: And you must be Zec, I need to talk to both of you. You have heard of Duplidemon's takeover of the Mushroom Kingdom, haven't you?

Alex: Who?

General Toad: Duplidemon, the big Duplighost Demon who has taken over the Mushroom Kingdom. Have you been to the Mushroom Kingdom recently?

Alex: Nope.
Alex chugs down the rest of his beer.

General Toad: We really need your help defeating him.

The bartender throws Alex another beer, which he takes a swig of.
Alex: No.

OOC: I didn't say recruiting him would be easy.

General Toad: Why not?

Kamara: Not surprised I am of Toad Town's demise, and thinking of their past, it's not a surprise.

Alex: I'm not going to try and save the world so people will find the bad and hate me for it. Again.

General Toad: What are you talking about?

Alex: When I stopped Morbul again, the Floating Island crashed into the sea. When I defeated Necros, I brought a lot of freaks over to this dimension. When I destroyed the Gloom invasion, I destroyed a dimension. When I killed Grimace, I killed a lot of "innocent" people. What part of those do you think the people remember?

Kamara: Don't forget you and your goons pushed me off the top of my castle, a fall that caused me lots of hassle!

General Toad: I see your point, but you won't be alone, and what could people think you did wrong?

Alex: *Ignores Kamara* They'd think I'm single-handedly responsible for the genocide of an army of Duplighosts simply because of a childhood fear. You'd be surprised how easily the public mangles the truth.

General Toad: And you won't save the world because you're afraid people might not like you?

Alex: Afraid? No, I know people don't like me. You don't put out a fire by throwing wood on it.

General Toad: If people already don't like you, what do you have to lose?

Alex: Some idiot vigilante might try to shoot me.

General Toad: Can't that happen here too?

Alex: You'd be surprised how good bar security is.

General Toad: You do know that after he finishes up controlling the Mushroom Kingdom he will move on to other worlds, soon he will control all the worlds. That will mean you will either be killed or taken prisoner.

Alex: I'm shaking in my booties.

General Toad: You won't be so sarcastic when you really are caught in the middle of an invasion.

Loggo: What about the innocent people, Alex? Did you think about them? How many will be killed?
Loggo's still wobbling around.
