Diamonte Kingdom and its Palace

A large chess board in the middle of an alternate dimension. Standing on the chess board, the sky seems normal and peaceful, (with diamond-shaped trees lining the edge of the board) though this is just an illusion. At the end of the board there is a large Palace where the Queen lives.

If you haven't guessed already, the citizens of this realm are all enchanted chess pieces with faces and torsos.
