Destiny Islands (Kingdom Hearts)

Alex gets up as the portal closes.
Alex: Yeah. Why?

Kid: Can't someone be polite without having a reason?

Alex: Not really, no. We live in a world of uncertainty.

Kid:...Oh.
The kid walks away.

Alex looks around for out-of-place portals, but doesn't have much luck.

A Heartless scurries by Alex.

As is typical of his nature, Alex doesn't notice.

OOC: What? He missed Pyramid Head twice! You think he's going to notice a generic Heartless (which I assume is a Shadow)?

The Shadow Heartless comes up behind Alex.

Alex still doesn't notice until a kid points behind him. Alex then turns around and sees the Shadow Heartless.
Alex: Aww, isn't dat cuuuuuute!

The Shadow Heartless hisses at Alex.

Alex: Aww! It thinks it's dangerous!

The Shadow Heartless lunges at Alex.

Alex takes out Bane and slices the Shadow Heartless in half.

More Shadow Heartless watch Alex. Meanwhile, Sora, Kairi, and Riku walk around the island.

Alex doesn't notice the rest of the Shadow Heartless and continues looking for strange portals.

The Shadow Heartless all lunge at Alex.

Alex does a spin attack a la Link and slices all of them in half as well.

Sora and co. arrive in time to see this.
Sora: Are those Heartless?

Alex: Dunno. I didn't cut them open to see if they had hearts.

Sora: Say, just who are you?

Alex: Well, who are you?

Sora: I'm Sora, and my friends here are Kairi and Riku.

Alex: *whispered, to himself* What kind of mom names their kids that?

Sora: So what's your name?

Alex: Alex.
Alex walks off.
