The Great Sea (LoZ: Wind Waker)

A vast sea that covers what used to be Hyrule. The mountaintops have become various islands, where people populate and treasures amass. It's rare to see anyone sailing these fish-less seas.

<Niko> Hey, you still asleep, swabbie?
Toon Link groggily got up and shook off the sleep. Tetra came to him and Niko.
<Tetra> Guys! Can't you keep watch when told?
Toon Link is so startled that he faints. Tetra sighs and shakes her head.
<Tetra> Once again, some legendary hero you are.
Mako, who is up in the crow's nest, shouts out.
<Mako> Hey! There's that fog! If we sail through this, we'll reach that Isle of Midus soon!
Toon Link, Tetra, Niko, and Gonzo look off the deck and see the fog up ahead--it's dark-blue and swirly, and that's pretty unusual for fog.
<Gonzo> Is it really a great idea to mess with something that can turn anything it touches into gold?
<Tetra> I'm aware of the danger. That's why we're gonna send that thing to the crushing oblivion of the seas.
<Niko> Um...how?
Tetra thinks on this.
<Tetra> You know...I didn't really think about that.

In the fog, a ghostly looking ship can be seen, though no one is on board.

The crew spots this ship.
<Niko> Yeek! That's a creepy-looking ship!
<Tetra> C'mon, it's not anywhere as creepy as REAL cursed ships.
<Gonzo> 'HOY! Anyone over there?!

There is no response. The fog clears little bit, allowing a good view of the ship. It turns out to be the Black Pearl.

The crew is amazed at the sight of this thing.
<Tetra> Black sails...? OK, maybe it is cursed.
<Mako> Should we let it be?
<Tetra> Sure. Unless it strikes back. Then we open all cannons.
Toon Link salutes, since he also operates cannons.

The ship drifts out of the fog and past Tetra's ship.

The crew resumes sailing through the fog.
<Gonzo> *yawn* Sure is taking a while.

Something knocks up against the bottom of the ship... something rather large.

This greatly surprises the crew. Toon Link and Tetra look over the edge into the water to see what it is.

Bubbles start to violently erupt from the sides of the ship.

The crew is still wary.

Large, white tentacles burst out from the waters around the ship and a massive Big Octo rises up infront of the ship.

Big Ocot: BLLLOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAARRRR!!!

This startled the whole crew greatly.
<Tetra> Big Octo alert! Man your battle stations!
Toon Link, Tetra, Niko, and Mako get to the cannons while Gonzo steers the ship steady. The four aim their cannons at Big Octo's eyes and fire the bombs at them.

The Big Octo screams in pain as the bombs explode upon impact with it's targeted eyes. Two of the tentacles around the ship suddenly slam down on the deck and start wrapping around the ship

The cannons aim for its other eyes and keep firing. Gonzo wiggles the steering wheel back and forth, hoping the rudder would shake the ship loose.

The Big Octo sucks in the bombs and eats them, but this wasn't the smartest idea. The bombs blow up in it's stomach and it faints, letting go of the ship and sinking back into the sea.

<Gonzo> Wow. You'd think it'd try to suck the ship up instead of the bombs. Ah well. Clear course ahead!
The ship sails on through the fog.
<Tetra> Can't be much farther to the Isle of Midus.

OOC: I don't mean to be rude, but if you're referring to either of the Greek mythological characters, wouldn't the proper spelling be Midas?

<OOC> Whoops! Kinda lost track of spelling at this point. Eheheh.

Something is swimming next to the ship.

Ghost King Midas appears on the Isle of Midas/Midus (wherever it is) while the Lethe (with the captain [Charon] and crew on board) rises from the water and sails around the area it thinks the Isle of Midas/Midus is.

Tetra's ship got closer and closer to the Isle of Midas, just ahead. Mako spotted it on his telescope.
<Mako> Th-There it is! The dread Isle of Midas!
Tetra wrapped her hands in thick, light cloth several time. Toon Link does the same.
<Tetra> OK Link, you know what to do, right?
Toon Link nods.

The Lethe continues to circle the Isle of Midas, coming across Tetra's ship as it goes.

Niko looks around, and sees the Lethe circling the Isle of Midas.
<Niko> Y-YIKES!! Cap'n! Over there!
Tetra and Toon Link also see the Lethe.
<Tetra> Another ship? Man, that Hand sure attracts a lot of greed-mongers.
Tetra calls out to the Lethe.
<Tetra> Hey, you! What's your outfit?
