Bedrock (The Flintstones)

This is a stone-age themed city. A lot of cavemen have been living there, including Fred Flintstone himself.

Wilma: Fred! Your breakfast is getting cold. Better hurry up!

Fred: In a minute, Honey. I just need a close shave. *shaves his beard with his bee powered clam (razor); runs to the kitchen to prepare to eat his fried dodo eggs and pigasaurous bacon.* And today is the day that I'm getting my salary from Mr. Slate. And guess what I'm going to buy with it?

Wilma: Let me guess, it must be another bowling ball?

Fred: Not this time. We're going to he movies, and perhaps a nice dinner with the Rubbles.

Wilma: Well, that's very thoughtful of you!

Fred: Heh heh! Thanks. *eats his breakfast* Uhh, maybe I could share the leftover money to you and Betty. Maybe buying some new clothes for the two of you would be interesting. Just don't let it be more expensive, because we're saving that for the bills and that's final.

Wilma: (I may save a little money for his birthday.) Better get going, you'll be late for work. And don't forget your lunchbox because I just setting it up for you.

Fred: Thanks! I'm going to pick up Barney and will be headin' off. Bye. *kisses Wilma and drives off to the Rubbles' house.* He should be awake soon. *honks with the bird.*

Bird: Hey! Easy! I have a really sensitive rib problem.

Betty answers the door.

Betty: Oh, hi Fred! I'll go get Barney for you.

Betty walks back into the house.

Pebbles is in her crib, but she wants out.

Wilma: Aww, you want to play with Mommy? *picks Pebbles up*

Fred: Well hurry up. We don't want to miss work, now do we?

Pebbles giggles happily.

Meanwhile...

Barney walks outside as Betty goes to cook something for Bamm-Bamm.

*Wilma tickles Pebbles before making a call to Betty. Back with Fred.*

Fred: Hiya my boosum buddy, close pal, and life long friend! Hows it going? Come on, we don't want to be late for work, now do we?

Barney: No, Fred! Let's go!

Barney hops into his "car".

Meanwhile...

Betty picks up her phone.

Betty: Why are you calling me when you can just come over my house? We are next door neighbors!Hello?

*Wilma takes Pebbles to the Rubbles' house. Meanwhile.*

*Fred drives his car on their way to the Slate Gravel Company.*

Fred: Mr. Slate is giving us a salary today. Hopefully it's a good one because I was expecting to go to the movies with Wilma. So, what are you going to do with your salary?

Barney: Eh, I think I might buy something nice for Betty. Maybe a dress or something...

Betty lets them in.

Betty: Why, hello Wilma! Did you know that some person called me and then randomly hung up a few seconds later? Talk about STRANGE!

Wilma: Well, that could be a stranger, or perhaps a person who dialed a wrong number.

*Meanwhile*

Fred: A dress? What kind of dress? Something that is made out of a rare white leopard fur?

Barney: Yeah! She'll love that.

Meanwhile...

Betty: Stinks that caller ID hasn't been invented yet.

The fourth fall falls on Betty.

Fred: Hold it! Hooooold it! That dress is a limited edition! And it's only got one left.

*Meanwhile.*

Wilma: Say, Betty? You want to go shopping at the mall?

Barney runs into a store.

Barney: Can you hold this dress for me?

Shopkeeper: Sure.

The Shopkeeper puts it behind the counter.

Shopkeeper: What is your name?

Barney: Barney Rubble.

The Shopkeeper writes it down on a small stone tablet and puts it next to the dress.

Shopkeeper: Just make sure you buy it within 5 hours.

Barney: Alright! See you in five hours!

Barney walks outside and back to Fred.

Barney: There, he's saving it for me.

Fred: That's the spirit, Barney. Reserving a dress for ya is just the ticket. Now no sore loser is going to buy it. *stops at The Slate Rock and Gravel Company* Hopefully we won't get late after stopping by at the clothes shop.

*Fred is working by digging the gravels. Meanwhile, Sabreman and Karasz arrives.*

Sabreman: As you can see, young man, the cavemen here are more intellagent. Well, sort of. This is where caveman society advances. Hopefully, we'll see Bedrock in the future.

Barny is also working.

Meanwhile...

Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm walk off (and crawl) to go play.

Betty: I don't know Velma. I need to make lunch for Bamm-Bamm.

Wilma: Well, I suppose I could make something new for Bamm-Bamm. What do you think if I give him a peanut butter and jelly sandwhich?

*Meanwhile*

Fred: Hey Charlie! Back the truck up because I'm dumpin' the gravel in.

Charlie: Sure thing, Fred!

*Fred dumps the gravel, but what's this? A Star Rock*

Fred: Huh? Hey! Hold it! *jumps off and examines the Star Rock.* I never seen this before in my life.

Charlie: Should you show this to Mr. Slate?

Fred: I don't know.

Charlie: Well, I have better suggestion. Take that thing over to the museum and perhaps you'll earn alot of money by selling it.

Fred: Muh-muh-muh-money?! Oh my goodness!! I just hit the jackpot! EEEE--YABBA DABBA DOO!! *dances*

Barney finds a pink diamond.

Barney: Wowee...

Fred: What's with you, Barn?

Barney hides it.

Barney: Nothing it's just...uh...The size of this rock! Man, is it huge!

Barney points to a conviently place huge rock.

Fred: Oooh.. kay?

*A bird just howl like a foghorn*

Fred: Quittin' time!! Oh boy, can't wait to hit the pins. You up for some bowlin'?

*Meanwhile.*

Sabreman: Look at this, dear boy.. You can see how Stone Age quickly evolved with these..

Karasz: I don't remember stone age just aged pretty well.

Sabreman: You may notice that some people are wearing colored leopard skins or panther skins, the meat are larger than you think, and dinosaurs are used to be part of the construction vehicles.

Karasz: I see.

Barney walks past Karasz and Sabreman.

*Fred does the same.. But he stopped for a moment.*

Fred: Hey, Barney? When did we cavemen invent shoes?

The fourth wall falls onto Freddy.

Barney: We have had shoes all the time! Though only girls have them.

Fred: Uh.. nevermind. But seriously, I just saw that one guy who has more clothes than we do. *shows Karasz to Barney* Let me tell ya Barn, we need to know where did he get these from.
