New Mobotropolis (Sonic the Hedgehog Comic)

Apparently, the collar is made to shock Simba whenever his primal raptor nature emerges or when he tries to take it off.

Sonic: Hmm...
Sonic tries to pick up Simba.

As expected, Simba is heavy.

Sonic is barely able to carry Simba over to Tails and Rotor, who are in a lab.

Simba is either out cold or showing no resistance.

Tails and Rotor run up to Sonic and the apparently knocked out Simba.
Tails: Is that a dinosaur, Sonic?
Sonic: Yeah. No clue where it came from, though. Think you guys can find out?
Rotor: Maybe. We'll run some tests.
Rotor and Tails take Simba and proceed to do so.

It would help to know some more specifics about the nature of the tests.

The tests are just basically taking some DNA and examining it.

The DNA is mostly that of an actual velociraptor, with some frog DNA mixed in.

Tails: Wait...frog DNA? This is definitely not a real dinosaur...

Mr. DNA appears on a TV Screen.
Mr. DNA: That's correct! As velociraptors like this one are extinct, we couldn't get an actual one! Therefore, we took the DNA we could get and used frog DNA to fill in the holes!

OOC: Hooray for Jurassic Park references. And yes, I'm referring to Mr. DNA.

Tails and Rotor: GAH!
Tails and Rotor almost fall out of their seats.
Tails: Uh...who are you?

Mr. DNA: I'm Mr. DNA! I come from your blood!

Tails: Do you know where this raptor came from?

Mr. DNA: Isla Nub-
The TV suddenly shuts off.

Tails quickly searches for islands that begin with "Isla Nub" on a computer.

There are about 73,450 of them.

So Tails begins analyzing the collar on Simba.

The collar looks the same as it did when Sonic looked over it: no markings on it.

Tails: Well, there's not much more we can find out about this thing.

Simba opens his eyes and looks around.

Tails and Rotor just watch Simba.

Simba gets up and continues his observation.

Tails and Rotor keep watching, hoping Simba doesn't attack them.

Simba turns to Tails and Rotor and starts smelling them.
