New Mobotropolis (Sonic the Hedgehog Comic)

NICOLE snaps her fingers and the nanites making up the floor start covering the armored figure's feet.

AF 1: What the...
AF 1 struggles to get free.

The nanites stay on and move up AF 1's body.

Lightning is heard in the distance, getting louder by the second.

NICOLE: Wha...?
NICOLE looks around for the source of the lightning.

A lightning bolt crashes through the ceiling and hits AF 1, electrifying his armor and the nanites on it.

The nanites all fall off, short-circuited.

AF 1 continues through the power plant as if nothing happened.

A wall of nanites rises up in front of AF 1.

AF 1 sticks his palm out at the nanites. Lightning shoots out of his fingertips at the nanites.

These nanites short-circuit and collapse as well.

The armored figure finally notices a map of the power plant and uses that as reference to head for the central computer.

NICOLE desperately tries to think of a way to stop AF 1.

AF 1 eventually gets to the central computer as the sound of a lightning bolt... being played backwards is heard.
AF 1: Here we go...
AF 1 empties the stolen backpack, revealing a lot of hacking stuff... then realizes he has no idea how to use it.

NICOLE proceeds to wonder where the "backwards lightning bolt" sound came from.

A sign falls in front of Nicole.
Sign: The backwards lightning means he's gone back to normal, but the lightning means he's powering up. And yes, I am a talking sign.

NICOLE: Oh.
NICOLE vanishes and appears in front of Sonic at the hospital.
NICOLE: SONIC!
Sonic: GAH! NICOLE! You scared my fur right off!
NICOLE: Sorry, Sonic. But there's trouble at the power plant! Some sort of armored person is trying to take control of the city's nanites!
Sonic: Don't worry. I'll go take care of them. This'll be a piece of cake!
Sonic turns towards Prof. Wyte and Eelie.
Sonic: I have to go. See ya later!
Sonic zooms out of the hospital and towards the power plant as NICOLE vanishes out of the hospital.

The armored person, too proud of himself to read the manual, puts something that looks like a demolition charge on the central computer and presses buttons on it. The device electrocutes the armored figure.

Prof. Wyte: Wait... did that hologram mention "nanites"?

Eelie: I think so. I hope Sonic will be okay.

Sonic enters the power plant and runs towards the central computer.

AF 1: Ow...
AF 1 starts trying to pry the device off.

Sonic runs behind AF 1.
Sonic: I'm guessing you're the guy trying to take control of the nanites.

AF 1: Yeah. Why?

Sonic: I'm here to stop you and stuff.

AF 1: Whatever.
AF 1 goes back to trying to pry the device off.
