<Waluigi> OK, but where on A-East IS the bat?

Shiwi: Bats like dark places. I think it would be the darkest place around, and I don't mean that store by us with the wierdo shopkeeper.

Joshua looks at the Concert Stage, where the black-hooded Reaper is standing.
<Joshua> Ah, of course. But...we're going to need some light before we can catch the fiend.
<Paper Mario> Agreed. Otherwise, we'll just trip over each other.
Waluigi goes to talk to the black-hooded guy.
<Waluigi> Hey, you!
The black-hooded guy seemed depressed.
<Black-Hooded Reaper> ...Hm? Oh. Hi.
<Waluigi> Can ya get the lights on?
<Black-Hooded Reaper> We need the tech for that. The...lazy--- tech.
<Waluigi> Ah. Describe him, please.
<Black-Hooded Reaper> Black tee with a lanyard. You can't miss him.
<Waluigi> Alright, thanks, Mr....erm...
<Black-Hooded Reaper> BJ, of Def March.
Joshua approaches this Reaper, BJ.
<Joshua> So, Def March still lives?
<BJ> Guess you can say so. We're doing our best in 777's memory, after all.
BJ looks down at the ground.
<BJ> Even then...we still miss that guy...
Paper Mario speaks the Joshua.
<Paper Mario> What's he mean?
<Joshua> Oh, 777? Someone era--well, you put the pieces together. Use that hand-illustrated brain.
<Paper Mario> ...

Shiwi opts not to converse with BJ, scared of what might happen (no surprises there).

<Joshua> ...Anyway, we should probably find that tech. Shiwi, you and I will check around Dogenzaka. Waluigi and Paper Mario can check Shibukyu.
Waluigi and Paper Mario go north to Shibukyu, while Joshua went south to Dogenzaka.

Shiwi follows Joshua to Dogenzaka.

At Dogenzaka, Joshua and Shiwi see these stores--Shadow Ramen (a ramen/merchandise store), Cosmic Corner (an odds-n-ends store), and Ramen Don (a traditional noodle house).

In the Shibukyu area, Waluigi and Paper Mario see...well, the Shibukyu Main Store. They decide to go in.

Shiwi: Gee... he could be in any one of them...

<Joshua> Hee hee...Well, which one should we check first?

Waluigi and Paper Mario enter Dragon Couture. They couldn't see the tech anywhere.

Shiwi: I... I don't know...

OOC: Indecisive Coward vs. Slightly Annoying Kid. Who will win? Place your bets, ladies and gentlemen!

<OOC> You forget that Slighty Annoying Kid can decide who lives and who dies in Shibuya.

<Joshua> Well, how about Shadow Ramen?
So, Joshua drags Shiwi into the Shadow Ramen shop. No tech in sight...but the manager, Makoto Miki, was present.
<Makoto> Welcome to Shadow Ramen! May I help you?
<Joshua> Sure. Have you seen a guy in a black tee and a lanyard?
<Makoto> Him??
Makoto shuddered a bit, remembering back when he was advertising Red Skull pins.
It was at Spain Hill, and he was trying to get the tech's attention.
<Makoto> Come get some hot stuff!
The tech kind of suggestively edged towards Makoto.
<Makoto> H...Hot...stuff...c-come get...
Then, the tech turned to him.
<Tech> ...I'll take one, thanks.
Makoto then snapped back to present day.
<Makoto> ...N-Not recently.
<Joshua> Oh, that's too bad.

OOC: I don't forget. I fail to remember.

Shiwi pulls his hood up and hides his Reaper wings even further beneath his hoodie in a vain attempt to not be seen.

<Joshua> ...Well, this chap hasn't seen the guy we're looking for today. Let's go.
Joshua leaves Shadow Ramen, motioning for Shiwi to follow him out.

Shiwi indeed does.

And so, Joshua proceeds to go to the Cosmic Corner.

Meanwhile, Paper Mario is waiting for Waluigi to stop looking around. Later, Waluigi returns with a Sun Emperor suit on.
<Paper Mario> What are you--?!
<Waluigi> What? It's neat 'n classy.
<Paper Mario> We don't have time for clothes-shopping!!
<Waluigi> You kidding? This has a high Attack boost!
<Paper Mario> ...A what?
<Waluigi> Well, enough said. I bought it, so it's mine. Le's go.

Shiwi follows Joshua into Cosmic Corner prepared to deal with the hippie that runs it.

Inside, Shinta Iwata positions his shades as he sees Joshua and Shiwi enter.
<Iwata> Listen up, kids. I only sell what you NEED. See this stuff?
He shows some drill bits, aurora cough drops, the "Love in a Heartbeat" skirt, and an electrical fuse.
<Iwata> Nice stuff, ain't it? But look at you two. You don't need these. Now if you were some tech, I can sell you the fuse, but you ain't.

Shiwi: What kind of store owner doesn't want money to keep his store running? Whatever.
Shiwi walks out of Cosmic Corner.

OOC: As you can see, I freaking hate Cosmic Corner.

Waluigi and Paper Mario check the Mus Rattus store. They see a bunch of chintzy clothes on sale there...but no tech.
Waluigi: Let's check the next floor.
Paper Mario: Yeah, let's.

Joshua: Well, Shiwi, that just leaves the Ramen Don. Shall we?

Shiwi: you first Sure.
Shiwi enters Ramen Don.

Joshua enters.
??? ???: Irrashai!
Joshua was greeted by the shop owner, Ken Doi.

Meanwhile, Waluigi and Paper Mario went up to Shibukyu's Sunshine Burger Shop.

Shiwi: ... Hey.

Joshua: Hello there. Have you seen Def March's tech recently?
Ken Doi: Hmm, can't say I have.

Meanwhile, at Shibukyu's Sunshine Burger Shop, Waluigi noticed a guy wearing a black tee and a lanyard.
Waluigi: Hey! That's the tech!
Waluigi went to the tech and was about to speak to him, but then the tech mopingly walked away.
Waluigi: Wh--W-Wait!

Shiwi: Darn.
Shiwi walks out of Ramen Don.
