Main Street (Aura of the Moon)

The reaper holds his scythe up and manages to block the attack. He pushes up in an attempt to throw the Ranger's balance off.

The Ranger is pushed into the air, but remains perfectly balanced. He then tucks into his shell and rockets down onto the Reaper's cranium.

The reaper couldn't react to this and it was a direct hit. The first reaper (that ducked) jumps up and kicks the Ranger into a nearby tree.

The Ranger grabs the tree and spins around it, making a large cut on the side facing the Reapers. The Ranger then lets go as the tree falls towards the Reapers.

The reapers jump away from the tree and the tree crashes down onto Maria's house. Fortunately for me, Maria wasn't injured (from the tree).

The Gloom continue sucking light from Main Street, making The Ranger nearly impossible to see.

Reaper 4: Sir! These creatures are making it nearly impossible to see!

Reaper 1: Not to worry! *Pulls out a strange marble.* CAT'S EYE MARBLE!!!

The marble suddenly glows yellow and yellow auras form around the reapers. The marble allows them to see in the dark with cat like eyes and the auras fade away. The first reaper puts up the marble.

The Ranger appears to have vanished.

The reapers get into ready stances.

Reaper 1: Keep your guard up...

Footsteps are heard behind Reaper 1.

The reaper turns around and swings his scythe.

The reaper hits a cat.

The reaper wipes the blade of the scytheon the grass to get the blood off.

Something then stabs the reaper from behind.

The reaper falls forward and slashes at whatever attacked him.

The slash is blocked by something invisible.

Reaper 4: Sir!

Reaper 4 runs and attempts to slash whatever is blocking Reaper 1's attack from behind.

Reaper 4 hits empty air as sinister laughing is heard all around the reapers.

Reaper 4: Just what the hell are we dealing with!?

Reaper 1: The Ranger...

Reaper 1 is stabbed from behind again.

Reaper 1 grunts in pain.

Reaper 1: Damn it...

Reaper 2: There has to be something we can do!

Reaper 3: Let me try...

Reaper 3 raises his free hand and a ball of light forms in the palm of his hand. The light reveals the area around the reapers.

The Ranger is nowhere to be seen. The Gloom soldiers swarm towards the light and start sucking it into themselves.

Reaper 4: What are those!?

Reaper 1: Gloom soldiers! Quickly, they're the reason why the light is gone!

The reapers start to attack the Gloom soldiers, Reaper 3 still holding the ball of light.

Metal Sonic enters the topic.

A pair of head light are seen driving towards Metal Sonic.
