The Tower of Babel (Book of Genesis)

Wraith Guy notices the block of dark matter and simply steps out from under it.

Darkling turns to Death.

Darkling: So, What now?

Living Death: We must proceed with the sacrifice.

Werewolf Nathaniel suddenly appears with the lost souls binding his limbs.

Living Death: Oh, that is just great...

Darkling: Did the Sacrifice not work?

Living Death: We haven't sacrificed him yet... Even if we could, it still wouldn't work now that he is a werewolf... no doubt because of these space distortions.

Darkling: Is there something I can do?

Living Death: Sure, go down and reverse these effects... I hate having flesh...

Darkling: I can just suck your life force away.

Darkling does so, returning Death to normal.

Death: Aaaaaah, bones. Dry, dry, bones...

...

Anita stands back up and runs out of the tower, past the fight between Lava and Glacier. Silhouette's hand rises up from the shadows and trips Anita.

Wraith Guy floats in front of Anita.

Sihlouette rises up from Anita's shadow and is about t stab her in the backof the head when all of a sudden a massive sword flies by and decapitates Silhouette's head. The hewad rolls off and sinks back into the shadows, along with the body. The swod falls and stabs the ground between Anita and Wraith Guy.

Wraith Guy, used to death, is unnerved by any of this.

A monk like figure walks towards Wraith Guy.

Monk: Dark one, I will not allow you to harm her.

Anita: DONOVAN!!!

Anita gets up and runs towards the monk.

Wraith Guy: And who said you order me around?

Donovan: *Ignoring Wraith Guy.* Anita, are you alright.

Anita: Yes, I'm fine.

Donovan: ??? Just what happened to you?

Anita: There are these space distortions and they are messing up the natural balance of this area. It gave me emotions, but I lost my power.

Donovan: *Looks at Wraith Guy.* And I am to assume that the space distortions affected you as well?

Wraith Guy: Indeed. If they had not... well, your pretty little girl wouldn't be alive right now.

The sword starts rattling and flies up into the air. It hovers behind Donovan and the blade actually moves, like it chuckled.

Voice: Distortions in space are no laughing matter, Donovan.

Donovan: I wasn't laughing, now was I? This blade has a mind of it's own.

Voice: Well, it's obvious your sword doesn't take things seriously.
Wraith Guy: Wait... who's that talking?
Voice: Oh, how rude of me.
A puddle of blood forms on the ground and forms into Jedah.

Donovan reaches for the handle of Dhylec.

Jedah: Oh, don't worry. I haven't come for you.
Wraith Guy: Then what are you here for?
Jedah: These distortions threaten my own dimension's existance.

Anita: Donovan...

Donovan: ...

Jedah: And it appears, like it or not, that I must ally with you in order to stop them.

Donovan: ... Though it's my mission to kill every Dark Stalker in the human world... that doesn't mean I have to kill them in their own world... If we ever want peace between our kind, I suppose I should help you.

Anita: Donovan, they are demons! Relentless killers who show no remorse for the death of humans! You can't expect to make peace with them!
