The Floating Island (Cave Story)

Yoko: Ladies first.

Julius: ...

Yoko steps into the teleporter.

Followed by Cameron (who is technically not a lady, but she looks like one). The two come out in a room where water comes up to one's ankles. Three wrecked robots are there. Quote and Curly, knowing the Labyrinth better than the others, go into the teleporter next, coming out by Yoko and Cameron.

Merloco and Julius follow after the others.

Yoko: Robots? In a labyrinth?

The rest of the White Platoon follows.
Curly: It's the junkyard of the island. Witches like Misery used to throw what they deemed "trash" down here.
Meanwhile, Alex gets to an area where the ground is made entirely of trashed robots and walks down it.

Merloco: Wow, Merlogic would actually love this place.

Julius: Could you stop talking about people we don't know?

Merloco: Sorry...

Curly: Now, a door should be around here somewhere...
Curly and Quote look for said door. Meanwhile, what looks like a monster truck with tank treads turned on its sides leaps out of the junk piles and rolls after Alex.

OOC: Well, YOU try describing this thing!

OOC: Nnnnno, I'm good.

IC:

Yoko and Merloco start to look for the door as well.

Terrus, having a different method, turns into a Yeti, walks up to a wall, and punches a large hole in it before turning to normal.
Terrus: There's your door.
Meanwhile, Alex leaps onto the tank treads as Monster X fires lasers at him.

Merloco: ... Yeah, that works.

Yoko walks through the hole and looks around.

Some giant cockroach-like things are munching on robot parts in the room Yoko is in. The White Platoon follows Yoko through the hole.

Yoko: Ewww...

Merloco and Julius walk through the hole as well.

The bugs are too busy with their meal to notice the group. Quote pulls out the Shift and aims at them.

Merloco: Are you sure that's a wise idea? Maybe we should just walk around them.

Quote says nothing. He can't. Instead, he blasts most of the cockroach things in one shot. The rest (though it's not many) turn to Quote. Meanwhile, Alex gets out Bane and slices Monster X repeatedly while dodging lasers.

Merloco blasts the remainder with a fireball.

All of the bugs in the room are dead. Meanwhile, Monster X blasts Alex to the ground and tries once more to run him over. Alex leaps in between the tank treads and stabs MX in the center part. A loud metallic roar is heard from Monster X.

Merloco: What the heck was that!?

Julius: I don't know, but something tells me Alex is involved. Come on!

Julius, Yoko, and Merloco start to run in the direction of the roar.

... And will run straight into a wall if they continue in that direction. Alex, sensing a weak point, continues stabbing Monster X.

Julius: Terrus, do you think you can make us a short cut through this labyrinth?

Terrus: No problem.
Terrus walks up to the wall and prepares to break it down.
Cameron: I wouldn't do that if I were you.

Yoko: Why is that?

Cameron: There are explosives on the other side of that wall. I don't think getting blown up is an acceptable sacrifice for having a shortcut.
Meanwhile, Monster X finally explodes, revealing that it was the same cat that was watching Alex earlier.

Merloco: Crap... Fine, lets do things the hard way.

Quote and Curly lead the White Platoon down the now bug-free path. Meanwhile, Alex continues through the Labyrinth.

Merloco, Julius, and Yoko follow Quote and Curly.
