The Floating Island (Cave Story)

In the room are two Mimigas and Kazuma Sakamoto, tied up and gagged.

Merloco and Yoko run and untie the two Mimigas.

Sue runs over to Kazuma and unties him. The two share a sibling...ly... hug.

Merloco: Now that we helped you, can we go?

Sue: Sure.
Alex: FINALLY!
Alex walks out of the shack... to find Misery waiting outside.
Misery: You're getting quite annoying. You are aware of this, correct?

Merloco: What? *Steps out.* ... That's amazing. So...... do you want to start this or what?

Voice: HUZZAH!
Alex takes two steps to the right... and is still landed on by Balrog. Alex quickly crawls out.
Balrog: We're going to have to do something about you!
The White Platoon (not counting Sue, Kazuma, and the two Mimigas, because they're losers) exits the shack.
Alex: I really doubt you can take us all.
Misery smirks.
Misery: Who said we were going to "take you on"?
Misery raises her broom in the air like a wand as eerie yellow energy gathers around Alex.

Yoko: Alex!

Merloco: Oooh boy...

Yoko: What's with the sudden personality change?

Merloco: I blame the author... that and the fact that LWB was our comic relief.

The fourth wall crushes Merloco.

Suddenly, the yellow energy completely surrounds Alex, then disappears. When it does, Alex is not there. Misery then turns to Balrog.
Misery: Now, you're going to have to go and get him.
Misery does the same thing she did to Alex to Balrog, then chuckles.
Misery: I never get tired of that.

Merloco: WHERE DID YOU SEND ALEX!?!?

Misery: Down to the Labyrinth. And if you want him to come out alive, you're going to have to go down there and get him.
Sue, Kazuma, and the Mimigas finally exit. On seeing Misery, the Mimigas flee to their village. Sue, however...
Sue: YOU!
Sue charges at Misery, fists flailing. Misery sighs and holds Sue back with one arm.
Sue: TURN ME BACK TO NORMAL, YOU WITCH!

Yoko drags Sue out of the way. Merloco casts a fireball at Misery.

Misery teleports back to the temple before the fireball hits.

Meanwhile, in the Labyrinth, Alex wakes up beneath a junk pile, which he then knocks off him. He checks his shell to see if the temple key is still there... and it is.

Merloco: Great!... *To Sue.* Do you know where the Labyrinth is?

Sue: Inside the island. But WHO CARES? I COULD'VE CLOBBERED THAT WITCH AND YOU DRAGGED ME AWAY!
Kazuma: Sue, calm down.

Yoko: Oh! Am I to resume that you are her brother?

Kazuma: Yes.
There is a moment of awkward silence.
John: But you're human, and she's a wierd rabbit thing. How does that work.
Sue: IDIOT! You think I was ALWAYS a wierd rabbit thing?
Meanwhile, Alex wanders through the Labyrinth, hopelessly lost and being watched by the large bug things... and a cat.

Merloco: Let me guess: that witch was the one who cursed you and now you wish for revenge?

Sue: First I want to slug her a few times, THEN I want her to change me back.
Kazuma: Apparently, science doesn't work when reversing this particular curse.

Yoko: Listen, we will do anything within our powers to help you, but we need our friend Alex. Could you lead us to the Labyrinth?

Sue: After what you did? No wa...
Kazuma puts his hand over Sue's mouth.
Kazuma: Sure. Follow me.
Kazuma (dragging Sue) heads back to the Mimiga Village. The White Platoon follows.

Followed by Yoko, Julius, and Merloco.

Kazuma (followed by Sue and the White Platoon) enters Arthur's house (if you have no idea what I'm talking about, play Cave Story. Or ask.) Inside the house is a teleporter.

Merloco:So this teleporter should take us to the Labyrinth?

Kazuma: Yes, but Alex is not likely to be there. So you'd better search fast before he gets too far away from you or...
Ryu: He's likely to do something stupid?
Both John and Kazuma: Exactly.
Kazuma turns the teleporter on.
Kazuma: Just step inside.
