The Floating Island (Cave Story)

Julius: I know Arikado and it wouldn't be him at all to make something up, so that may be something you are going to have to look into later.

Aya: ... I'm right here.

Merloco: Great, now that that has been settled, lets go and destroy that crown.

John: Right.
The White Platoon heads for the temple gates... but are spotted by the ogres.

Aya loads her pistol and starts shooting at the ogres. Julius is throwing axes at some of the ogres and Yoko is electrifying some others. Merloco is heading towards the temple gates.

The ogres are hurt, but not badly. They pick up large stone cubes and throw them at Merloco while Quote charges up a Shift laser.

Merloco conjures up a 5 foot thick stone wall to block the cubes. After the cubes hit, he casts another spell which breaks the wall into same sized cubes and magically throws them at the ogres.

The ogres catch the cubes and throw them back.

Aya runs infront of Merloco and uses Power Shot on the cubes, destroying them.

The ogres then charge at the White Platoon. Dr. Y pulls out a shotgun and shoots one in the head, causing it to drop to the ground. The other stops, shocked, and is killed by a large Shift laser from Quote.

Merloco: Holy crap!

Aya: Makes me wish I had his gun.

Quote calmly puts the gun away.
John: Nice welcoming committee.

Merloco: *Looks at the statues.* Definately followers of Morbul. Now then, the key...

John pulls out a key he swiped from Alex's shell (the same one used to free the Mimigas and Kazuma) and heads up to the door, unlocking it. It creepily opens, much like a coffin in a lame vampire movie.

Merloco: Errr... Ladies first?

Yoko rolls her eyes and enters the temple.

Cameron and Curly follow, followed by the rest of the White Platoon.

Merloco and Julius follow.

Inside the temple is one large room (and a second, not as large room to the side). The corpse of an Omega Pirate is in front of the White Platoon, and beyond that are Misery, Balrog, and Morbul, who haven't noticed the White Platoon yet.
Morbul: ... Why is this island not falling yet?
Misery: Err, about that... The plan didn't work.
Morbul: The plan would work perfectly if you didn't screw it up. Speaking of which, how did you?
Misery: It wasn't my fault! The turtle drowned!
Morbul: No doubt your doing. Need I remind you what will happen to you if you fail an assignment?

Merloco: *Whispers.* Should we-

Julius: *Whispers.* Lets listen in.

Morbul: On second thought, I need not. I'll just show you.
Misery gasps, but Morbul quickly puts his hand over her mouth.
Morbul: Don't bother screaming. It's not like anyone's going to help.
Morbul drags Misery towards the side room.
Balrog: DON'T DO IT TO HER!
Morbul angrily turns to Balrog.
Morbul: What was that?
Balrog: ... I... I just...
Morbul: You were thinking, weren't you? Simply incredible. A big stupid lummox of a toaster thing like you actually has a brain instead of just hollow space! AMAZING! Could've fooled me, because you barely think at all. Don't bother starting now, and SHUT UP.
Morbul telekinetically shoves Balrog against a wall... which happens to be the one closest to the entrance. Balrog then sees the White Platoon, but says nothing.

Merloco: That doe-

Julius: *Grabs Merloco.* No.

Merloco elbows Julius and runs away from him. He then pulls out his Star Wand and casts a Fireball at Morbul.

Julius: Damn it! *Readies whip.*

Morbul smells smoke, turns to see the fireball, and lets go of Misery to hold his palm out and stop it in midair. The rest of the White Platoon readies their respective weapons and/or gets in a battle stance.
Morbul: It appears your punishment will wait. Now kill them.
Misery is silent for a few seconds.
Misery: If you're so great and powerful, you do it.
Morbul: I ORDER YOU to kill them.
Misery: Fine.
Misery readies her broom and Balrog jumps beside her.

Merloco: Misery, we promised we wouldn't hurt you... but it appears that in order to destroy the Demon's Crown, we are going to have to stop you.

Misery: I'm not exactly eager about this either.
Balrog: I AM!
Misery: That's because you've got the brain of a toaster.
Morbul launches the fireball at Merloco at twice the original speed.

Julius runs and pushes Merloco out of the way. He then takes his whip and slashes the fireball, destroying it.

Balrog shoots missles at Julius while Misery... just watches.

OOC: It's sort of like rebelling, yet following orders, if you let your "punching bag" do the work.

Yoko casts thunderballs at each of the missiles.
