The Floating Island (Cave Story)

Julius: Ugh...

Merloco: ... Wow, that was unexpected.

Balrog: Nice of you guys to show up! I notice you didn't bring Alex with you.
Misery teleports into the Shack.

Julius: ... He's under feet, as usual for every time you show up.

Alex crawls out from under Balrog, who turns to him.
Balrog: How did you get down there?
Alex: ... You landed on me, you stupid, stupid talking lunchbox!
John: I think he looks more like a toaster.
Dr. Y: He looks a bit like a television to me.
John: Televisions don't have handles on the sides. He's a toaster.
Dr. Y: Toasters don't have screens. He's a television.
Alex: Whatever! The point is he's an idiot!
In anger, Balrog leaps onto Alex and punches him repeatedly.

Merloco blasts Balrog with a Fireball.

Balrog is knocked slightly back. Alex gets up, but is quickly shot into a wall by missles from Balrog.
Balrog: I AM NOT STUPID!

Julius jumps into the air and kicks Balrog square in the... screen.

Balrog knocks Julius away with a missle. Terrus turns into a Yeti and punches Balrog repeatedly while Misery watches.

Yoko pulls out her club and gets into a readied stance in front of Misery.

Yoko: Shall we?

Misery sighs.
Misery: If we must.
Meanwhile, Quote and Curly hear the fighting and head towards the Shack.

Yoko spins around and attempts to blast Misery. Julius falls down due to missle. Merloco tries to blind Balrog with the spell Radiant Light.

Balrog is indeed blinded, but the light reflects off his metal and blinds almost everyone else in the room. Misery is not among those people, and she summons an orb of dark energy to block the shots.

Merloco is blinded, but quickly blasts Balrog with another Fireball. His aim was a bit off, so the hit wasn't major.

Yoko jumps up and over the attacks and kicks Misery in the gut.

Misery rams her broom into Yoko's gut. Suddenly, Quote and Curly burst into the shack. The former pulls out his Shift and blasts Balrog and Misery with lasers.

Merloco: Thanks for the help!

Quote does not respond. He can't. Balrog jumps through the ceiling and retreats as Misery sighs and follows him.

Julius jumps up through the ceiling after Balrog and Misery.

Balrog and Misery fly off towards Grasstown.

Merloco runs out of the shack and spots the two as they fly off.

Merloco: Quickly! We have to see if they are heading back to Morbul!

Merloco, Julius, and Yoko run towards Grasstown.

My characters leave the shack, see Julius, Yoko, and Merloco chase after Balrog and Misery, and follow them. Balrog and Misery fly into the trees of Grasstown, dropping from sight.

My characters stop just outside Grasstown.

Merloco: This is it, but...

Julius: Keep your guards up.

My characters keep their weapons out and start to walk around Grasstown.

Several Critters watch the White Platoon, Quote, and Curly.

Merloco senses the Critters, but doesn't seem to pay much mind to them.

The Critters fly into the air and go up above the group. Quote blasts some of them with the Polar Star.

Julius throws daggers at some of the Critters and Merloco blasts the remainder with fireballs.
