The Floating Island (Cave Story)

Cameron: We all did.

Merloco: I suppose we should head back to that other village and possibly see if anyone spotted the two taking a different route.

The White Platoon heads back over to Mimiga Village, followed by Quote and Curly.

My characters follow the others.

Everything seems quiet in Mimiga Village.

Merloco: Where is everybody?

Julius: ...

Suddenly, Igor bursts through a wall, carrying two Mimigas and Kazuma. He then runs out of the village.

Merloco: What the heck!?

Julius: Whatever that thing was, we have to stop it! Come on!

My characters chase after Igor.

As do mine. Igor heads for the Sand Zone.

Merloco: Interesting area...

My characters continue the chase.

Igor jumps beneath the sand with his catches. As Alex tries to follow, a Sandcroc leaps out of the sand and bites the unfortunate Koopa.

Julius jumps up and kicks the Sandcroc off of Alex.

The Sandcroc buries back beneath the sand.

Julius: You okay Alex?

Alex: My dignity's bruised, but otherwise I'm fine.

Julius: Good. Now lets move on.

Julius jumps beneath the sand. Merloco just shrugs his shoulders and follows Julius.

A Sandcroc bites Julius and Merloco as they touch the sand, sending them flying out.
Curly: Apparently only bad guys can escape into the sand.

Merloco: *Falls down.* Great, now how will we solve THIS problem?

Alex: No idea.

Merloco sighs and gets out his Tattle Log and the thunderbolt shaped rock.

Alex starts thinking of plan.

Merloco sighs and puts up his Tattle Log. He then starts to thoroughly examine the rock, to see if there are any carvings or anything significant.

Meanwhile, what appears to be a blur runs by the White Platoon, shoving Alex aside.
Blur: Out of the way!
Alex goes back where he was and shakes his fist at the blur.
Alex: Watch where you're going!
The blur stops, revealing itself as Sue.
Sue: First, watch where you're standing!

Merloco: *Walks up behind.* Don't start... *To Sue.* Excuse me, would you happen to know what is going on around here?

Sue: All that matters is that Igor took my brother! And I'm not going to waste time I could spend finding him talking to you and your pet turtle!
Sue runs off.
Alex: I hate her.
