Main Street (Aura of the Moon)

Nathaniel opens the cage... and a small, black blur darts out of the cage and starts to run around the house with the occasional sound of claws running on tile.

Sparky: Ah.

The sounds of trumpets playing is heard as the blur heads back to where everyone is and tackles Sparky down onto his back and starts licking his face.

Sparky, though surprised, can't help but laugh.

Nathaniel: Sorry, she gets like this whenever she goes into new areas or meets new people.

Joshua picks the small dog up, who still wiggles around in his hands trying to get free.

Nathaniel: This is Lady!

Sparky gets up.
Sparky: Well, hello there.

Lady manages to wiggle out of Joshua's hands and starts jumping up and down at Sparky's feet, trying to lick his face... which really isn't all that hard for her since she can jump up to someone's chest.

Sparky: You guys don't mind if I take a look around, do you?

Joshua: Go ahead. Upstairs is the guest bedroom along with it's own bathroom. Just go up the stairs and take a right. Just across from the door is the kitchen and the living room.

Sparky heads to the guest bedroom, not knowing he's being watched by a cloaked figure.

Some one knocks on the front door.

Joshua: Now who could that be?

Joshua opens the door and sees Maria standing in front of him.

Joshua: Maria!

Maria: Oh Joshua, it's been a long time! *Hugs Joshua.*

Joshua: How long has it been? 13 years?

Maria: Yes... I missed you...

Joshua: I know Maria...

SM52595, Karana, and Zecronno (who is wearing a trench coat) appear.

Joshua: Do you want to come inside?

Maria: Sure Josh!

Joshua steps to the side and lets Maria inside.

Maria: Wow! This place almost looks exactly like your old house!

Joshua: Yeah, the construction workers did their best to duplicate what the house looked like before, with a few updates here and there.

Sparky looks out the window and notices the cloaked figure, who instantly disappears.

Joshua and Maria enter the living and sit down on the couch.

Joshua: So... What all have you been doing while we were gone?

Maria: Well, I teach piano now.

Joshua: Oh, is that so?

Maria: Yeah. The job pays well, but the hours are long.

Meanwhile, Nathaniel manages to catch Lady and starts to take her up stairs.

Sparky finally reaches the guest bedroom.

The guest room is nicely furbished. There is a large king sized bed up against the wall across from the entryway. To the left is the bathroom and to the right is a window. There is also a night stand next to the bed and a dresser on the other side of the bed.

Nathaniel: Like it?

Sparky: Certainly better than my apartment.
Sparky lies down on the bed.

Nathaniel: This place cost a pretty penny, but our aunt managed to pull a few strings and got us the money.

Sparky: That's nice...
Sparky is only half-listening, his mind more focused on the figure he saw through the window.

Nathaniel waves a hand in front of Sparky's face.

Nathaniel: Helloooo? Earth to Sparky. Are you with us?

Sparky snaps to attention.
Sparky: Hmm? Yeah.

Nathaniel: What seems to be the problem?

Sparky: It's... it's nothing.

Nathaniel: ... Alright, if you're sure. I should go check up with Joshua and see what we're going to have for dinner.

Nathaniel exits the guest room with Lady in his arms and heads back down stairs. Meanwhile...

Maria: Joshua, I have to tell you something...

Joshua: W-what is it Maria?

Maria: *Sighs.* I have a boy friend.

Joshua feels a sudden sinking feeling in his heart.

Maria: I couldn't wait for you any longer, I needed to share my love with someone... and Joseph was there for me.

Joshua: Joseph!?

Maria: Yes, you remember him, don't you? He's strong, he plays sports...

Joshua: He was also a bully.

Maria: Stop it Joshua! He has changed!

Joshua: He used to pick on my friends.
