Main Street (Aura of the Moon)

Suddenly, the door to the guest bedroom slams shut and locks. The figure from before appears in the guest bedroom, staring at Sparky.

Nathaniel had just reached the bottom of the stairs before hearing the door shut.

Nathaniel: Huh? What's up with Sparky?

Meanwhile...

Maria: Speaking of your friends, they all suddenly up and vanished.

Joshua: What!?

Maria: I don't know, I think they moved after you two left.

The figure pulls out a cattle prod and turns it on, walking menacingly towards Sparky. Speaking of which, Sparky gets out of the bed and tries to find an escape route.

The only escape route would be jumping out the window and grabbing hold of a nearby tree branch. Nathaniel climbs back up the stairs.

Sparky is not the most coordinated kid in the world, so it's unlikely he could do that. The figure disappears and reappears in front of Sparky, then shocks him mercilessly with the cattle prod. Sparky screams in pain.

My Characters walk around a little. Zecronno does his best to cover himself.

Nathaniel hears Sparky's screams, runs up to the guest bedroom door, puts Lady down, and tries to open the door, only to find it locked. He starts banging on the door.

Nathaniel: Sparky! What is it? Why is the door locked!?

Meanwhile, people who went for a walk stare at Zecronno.

Sparky is having a bit of a hard time responding. However, the cloaked figure hears Nathanial and turns off the cattle prod, then puts a hand over Sparky's mouth.
Figure: *In Sparky's voice* Everything is fine.

Nathaniel: You sure? You just screamed.

Figure: *Still in Sparky's voice* Everything is fine.

Nathaniel: Alright! No need to get defensive! Yeesh...

Nathaniel picks Lady back up and heads back down stairs.

The figure turns back to Sparky and continues shocking him. Even though the figure's hand is over Sparky's mouth, muffled screaming can be heard.

Nathaniel enters the living and sees Maria.

Nathaniel: Maria!

Maria: Nathaniel! It's good to see you again! The last time I saw you, you were like 2!

Nathaniel: Yeah, well, I was short and I sprouted.

Maria: Really? You still look short to me.

Nathaniel: WHAT!?!?

Maria: I'm kidding!

Nathaniel and Maria laugh while Joshua sits there, clenching his fists.

A few seconds later, the figure stops shocking Sparky, who collapses to the floor, unconcious. The figure disappears as the door unlocks and creaks open. The figure then reappears outside on the sidewalk.

Nathaniel stops laughing and looks over at Joshua.

Nathaniel: What's the matter Josh?

Joshua: It's... nothing.

Joshua stands up and exits the living, heading through the door leading into the back yard. Maria looks down in disappointment. Nathaniel looks at Maria and scratches his head.

Maria: Oh, uhm, is someone else here?

Nathaniel: Huh? Oh! Yeah! The kids name is Sparky and his bus driver dropped him off here by mistake! He's staying with us until we find a way of getting him back to wherever he wanted to go. Come on! I'll take you to meet him!

Maria stands up and follows Nathaniel upstairs. Nathaniel sees that the door is unlocked and enters.

Nathaniel: Hey Sparky! I have a friend of ours I would like you to-

Nathaniel sees Sparky on the ground unconcious.

Nathaniel: SPARKY!!!

Sparky naturally does not react as the figure outside walks through the streets as if nothing happened.

Nathaniel and Maira run over to Sparky and kneel down.

Nathaniel: Sparky! Wake up!

Sparky is still out cold.

Nathaniel: Oh god! Maria, get Josh and call 911! Stay with us Sparky!

Maria nods and runs down stairs, frantically trying to find the house phone. Joshua is on the back porch and swinging on the bench swing. He sees Maria panicing and re-enters the house.

Joshua: Maria, what's wrong?

Maria: It's Sparky! He's been hurt!

Joshua: WHAT!?!? But... how!?

Maria: We don't know! Where is the phone?

Joshua runs into the kitchen and picks up the phone (which was screwed onto the wall) and dials 911. He waits and finally gets someone.

Joshua: Hello!? 911!? This is an emergency! Our friend just... somehow got injured and we need an ambulance right away! You're sending one right away!? Okay! Thank you and please hurry!

Joshua hangs up the phone. Several minutes later, an ambulance parks outside of the house as paramedics take Sparky into the ambulance and drive off, heading towards the hospital. Nathaniel, Maria, and Joshua watch.

The figure watches the ambulance as it drives off.

Karana notices the figure and examines him.

The figure disappears before Karana can get a close examination.

Karana wonders how the Reapers haven't found out about the figure yet.

The paramedics frantically do their best by hooking Sparky up to an oxygen reserve. The ambulance reaches the hospital and the paramedics carry Sparky and into an emergency room.

Meanwhile, back at the house...

Nathaniel: Josh, do you think Sparky is going to be okay?

Joshua: I hope so Nathaniel...

Maria: This has been one hectic day for you two. Why don't you two go back inside? I'll be heading back home. See you tommorrow.

Nathaniel: See ya.

Joshua: Yeah...

Joshua and Nathaniel go back inside while Maria walks down the street, heading back to her house.

The figure reappears inside the hospital.
