Shibuya, Tokyo (The World Ends With You)

A lively subcenter in Tokyo, where many ideals and trends from near and far come together. From its statue of Hachiko (Shibuya's symbol) to the tangles of streets, Shibuya is a popular place for the youth. It's the hometown of Neku, Shiki, Beat, Rhyme, and Joshua.

It's secretly run by the Composer, who administers the Reapers' Game--in Shibuya's UG. The recently deceased enter the Reapers' Game for another chance. Those who fail are erased--usually by the Reapers.

*As usual like any place, birds fly and sun shines.*

Just another day. Neku Sakuraba strolled through the scramble crossing. He was listening to his new CD in his signature headphones.
<Neku> I wonder what Shiki's up to.
Neku paused his CD player and dialed Shiki's number on his cell phone. After a little bit, a voice came on.
<?????> Hi there, Neku!
<Neku> Hi, Shiki. So what's new?
<Shiki> Not much. We did win first place in the design contest, though, so that's a plus.
<Neku> That sounds great! We should celebrate sometime.
<Shiki> Sure thing! We'll meet at Ramen Don, OK
<Neku> You got it. Later.
Neku hangs up and heads towards Dogenzaka.

OOC: Not only is Shibuya a real place, but Alex made a topic for it in the Reality Universe.

OOC: I deleted it, though. Seeing as how Lava would yell at me for being a haxxor because there are two Shibuya topics and I made the other one (first, mind you).

Doctor Sid enters the topic.

*The Rock Band known as the Scribz arrived. This is their first location of their tour.*

Neku reaches Dogenzaka, where he sees Shiki Masaki--holding her homemade doll, Mr. Mew--waving to him. Neku happily runs over to her.
<Neku> Shiki! Good to see you!
<Shiki> Hee hee! Well, I made it here first--you're buying!
Neku rubs the back of his head sheepishly.

Rad: Well mates, looks like we independent rockers gonna make our first debut to fame.

Edward: Indeed, bro. When can we start?

Alma: Oh, I'm thinking that we should do this on the weekends.. Or later... How about now?

Rad: It can be anytime. We just need to set up the concert as soon as we can. We want to make our fans happy for us. Just as long as there is no paparazzi involved.

Later, Neku and Shiki finished their shiyo ramen.
<Shiki> Hey, did you hear? A rock band came into town. They call themselves the Scribz. They'll be performing here!
<Neku> Sounds like fun. We should check it out. A-East, right?
<Shiki> Of course!
Just then, a thought hit them.
<Shiki> ...You think they know where A-East is?
<Neku> Hmm...

So, after paying Ken Doi, Neku and Shiki go outside. Neku digs out his old Player Pin (from his days in the Reapers' Game).
<Neku> I wonder...
Neku focuses his energy into the Player Pin, and he sought out the signals of the Scribz' minds.

*The Scribz are rehearsing in the trailer.*

<OOC> I assume the trailer is in A-East? That's right next to Dogenzaka.

OOC: True.

Seeing as the trailer is in A-East, Neku and Shiki could rest easy.
<Neku> ...OK, they know where they are.

Meanwhile, at the Statue of Hachiko, two people are just chilling--one is a pink-haired chick in a corset, and the other is an orange-haired guy wearing a bone-print shirt and holding a lollipop.
<Pink-Haired Chick> This vacation is starting to turn into one big YAWN.
<Lollipop Guy> Really? I'd like to think otherwise.
<Pink-Haired Chick> Yeay, yeah, you and your break-time. I sure wish the Composer would cook up a Game soon. I'd like to be a part of that!
<Lollipop Guy> Uzuki, Uzuki...After the ones we just got through recently? I'd rather not have to endure that again. You agree?
The pink-haired chick, Uzuki, held her hand to her forehead and shook her head.
<Uzuki> Oh please, Kariya. There's bound to be some NORMAL Games soon.
The lollipop guy, Kariya, then got an idea.
<Kariya> Alright, how 'bout a little game? Reaper Sport 4!
<Uzuki> What, tag? Oh please, you wouldn't be able to catch me! But sure thing. I could use some fun.
<Kariya> Usual terms?
<Uzuki> Yeah!
<Kariya> Right, whoever's "it" by the end of the day has to buy the other some ramen.
<Uzuki> You're "it"! Ready, and...GO!
Uzuki then vanished. Kariya followed. They reappeared in Shibuya's UG realm--each one with a pair of rickety black wings. Uzuki already ran towards the scramble crossing. Kariya followed.

*The Scribz are playing their instruments.*

Uzuki had already ran up the side of the 104 Building to the roof.
<Uzuki> Wonder if I should slow down.
Just then, a hand tagged her on the back. This was done by Kariya.
<Kariya> Tag. You're it.
Kariya then warped down to the foot of the 104 Building and dashed to the scramble crossing. Uzuki warped down and followed.
<Uzuki> (Tch. Guess I already slowed down.)

OOC: *Insert West Side Story reference here*

IC:

The flying battleship Ever After flies over Shibuya.

Viladek appears on the Ever After and materializes her scythe.

A voice, distorted through one of those fancy voice-changing devices, comes over the loudspeakers around Viladek.
Voice: Now, now. No one gets onto this battleship who's not supposed to. That makes you an uninvited guest.

OOC: Is the Ever After made of wood?

IC:

Viladek: You think I care? Let the students go!

OOC: No.

IC:

Voice: And if we refuse?

Viladek: I'll get them myself!

The voice laughs.
Voice: Go ahead and try...
A door in front of Viladek unlocks.
