The Floating Island (Cave Story)

Merloco: *Puts finger up to... mouth.* Shhhh...

Merloc, Julius, and Yoko start to creep down the path.

The White Platoon follows, Erix miraculously being stealthy. However, there are around as many bugs down the path as there were snakes in the Well of Souls in Raiders of the Lost Ark. Meanwhile, Alex crawls through the hole and comes under attack by several of the bugs.

Julius and Yoko jump over the bugs to any open spots they see.

Merloco: ... More jumping?

The other members of the White Platoon jump over the bugs. Erix accidentally squishes four of them beneath his feet. There is a moment of awkward silence. Meanwhile, Alex slices the bugs apart while running down the path.

Merloco looks around to see if any of the bugs are awake.

By some miracle, none of the bugs woke up.

Merloco lets out a sigh of relief.

At Merloco's sigh, the bugs wake up.
Dr. Y: Nice.

Merloco: Crap...

Merloco, Julius, and Yoko start running down the path.

The White Platoon follows as the bugs take to the air and give chase.

Merloco trips on his coat and falls down. Yoko stops and runs back to help him up.

What seems like a hundred bugs dive for Merloco.

Yoko and Merloco continue to run away.

The bugs grab onto Merloco's cloak and start pulling him back. Quote turns around and blasts most of the bugs with fireballs.

Yoko kicks the bugs holding Merloco off.

One of the bugs bites Yoko's skirt, but is quickly shot full of holes by the Point Man.
Point Man: Some people just have no respect for a lady.

Yoko: Thank you!

Yoko and Merloco continue to run.

Part of the swarm splits off from the main part and goes in front of the group.
Dr. Y: We're surrounded!
John: Thank you, Captain Obvious.

Yoko: ALEX, WHERE ARE YOU!!?!?

Merloco: I don't crying for help is going to save us! *To Julius.* Can't you do that attack again!?

Julius: I used too much of my power in that previous attack!

Merloco: Darn it!

Quote pulls out his recently aquired blunderbuss and aims into the sky.

Merloco: Whatever you're doing, do it now!

Quote fires the blunderbuss, sending a shell into the air. The shell explodes, killing some of the bugs, then scatters into smaller shells, which explode around the White Platoon and clear the bugs around them.

Julius: Lets go!

Julius, Yoko, and Merloco continue running.

The White Platoon follow them to a door at the other end of the path.

My characters run through the door and should end up where Alex and Balrog moved the boulder.
