The Floating Island (Cave Story)

Alex approaches the puppy, who runs through Door 1 and comes out Door 6.

Merloco: Well this should be easy.

Merloco walks towards the pup.

The puppy runs away from Merloco through Door 6, coming out Door 3.

Merloco: Okay guys, just pick a door and stand infront of it.

Yoko walks to the puppy.

Erix steps in front of Door 2. The Puppy runs through Door 3 and comes out Door 2... but runs between Erix's legs.
Alex: That's one evasive puppy.

Merloco: Well, considering the fact that it just... Nevermind, I'll just keep that comment to myself.

OOC: Sorry, this plot may have to be put on hold for a while. Zec says I shouldn't be posting. In fact, I'm not sure I'm allowed to post this.

Merloco: A little help guy?

Julius: The name is Julius.

Julius runs towards the puppy.

The puppy runs through Door 2 and comes out Door 4. Alex realizes something and starts closing all the doors except 6.

Merloco gets ready to grab the puppy.

Alex sneaks behind Door 6, out of the puppy's sight.
Alex: *whispered* On my go, dive for the puppy.

Merloco: *Whispers.* Got it.

Almost immediately after...
Alex: NOW!

Merloco dives at the puppy.

The puppy quickly runs into Door 6, which Alex closes behind it. A few seconds later, the sound of the puppy pawing at Door 2 is heard.

Merloco: Big guy, if you will.

Julius: His name is Erix.

Alex: Erix, don't.
Erix looks at Alex, confused.
Alex: It's all part of my plan.

Merloco: Huh? Just what ARE you planning?

Alex: That puppy's going to get tired eventually. And a tired puppy is a lot easier to grab than one who keeps running away from you.

Merloco: Yeah, and while we are waiting, we will surely get attacked.

The pawing at the door suddenly stops. After a few seconds, Alex opens the door and quickly grabs the puppy (keeping it away from his head).

Merloc: ... Meh...

Merloco, Julius, and Yoko head back down the path.

No one else gives Alex props for his brilliant plan, somewhat cheesing Alex off. Alex and co. go back to the shack, where Alex knocks on the door.
Jenka: A...
Alex: What exactly would happen if I said "yes, I am a monster"?
Jenka: ... I didn't think about that part. I suppose I wouldn't let you in.
Alex: But if I was a monster, I'd break the door down or something.
Jenka: You raise a good point.
Alex: All this is to say I'm the same guy who went into your house five times already in the last ten minutes.
Jenka opens the door. The White Platoon enters.

Merloco heads in as well.

Merloco: Key to gate. Where is it?

Jenka: Buried somewhere in the sand pits.
Alex: Perfect. We're back where we started: without a way to get down there.
Jenka: The Sandcrocs holding you up?
Alex: Yes.
Jenka: Well, perhaps if you distracted them with something, you could rush by.
